Counterweave Arts is a gallery, workshop and Reiki studio in Rome, Italy.

At Counterweave Arts we are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. Counterweave collects data from people who buy artworks, wearable art, workshops, Reiki and mentoring services, and downloadable files. We only hold data necessary to process the transaction (email addresses, physical addresses so we can send you your purchases) and to analyse Counterweave’s business performance. This data is not shared with third parties.

Counterweave keeps data from purchasers for the legally required time of six years.


Online purchases

Payments to our online shops on the website and on Etsy are handled by Etsy and/or Paypal. Paypal’s Privacy Policy can be found here

Counterweave does not have access to any of your credit card or  payment card details.



We send out an occasional newsletter by email to subscribers. The mailing list is administered by MailChimp, which we access through a secure login. MailChimp’s Privacy Policy can be read here. /

Newsletter subscribers can unsubscribe at any time and information on how to unsubscribe is provided at the bottom of every newsletter. Or you can contact us at Counterweave and we will unsubscribe you manually.


Counterweave Anima clients

We hold limited data on Counterweave Anima clients. Bookings and payments are taken through the Acuity Scheduling service. You can find Acuity’s Privacy Policy here.

Clients are provided with a digital copy of their session notes. Session notes are never disclosed to third parties and are stored securely in Dropbox. Dropbox’s Privacy Policy can be found here.

Hard copy files

Counterweave does not keep hard copy files.


Access Rights

Counterweave will always hold your personal data securely. We do not store your payment or credit card details. Any personal data we do keep is protected with strong physical and electronic security. If there is an unauthorised data breach we will contact you

Under GPDR you are entitled to view, amend or delete the personal data that Counterweave holds. Please email us at with your access request.

To prevent unauthorised disclosure or access to your information, we have implemented strong physical and electronic security safeguards. In the event of a breach by Counterweave, we will act swiftly to amend the breach and notify the person concerned and the relevant data protection authority within 72 hours of becoming aware of the breach.


Right to Lodge a Complaint

If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about our use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.



When you land on Counterweave’s website you will see a pop-up box that notifies you that the site uses cookies. You have the option to click ok if you agree and consent to the use of cookies, or ignore if you don’t agree.

Cookies allow websites and applications to store your preferences to tailor your content, options and functions preferences. Cookies also allow us to see information such as the number of people visiting the website, which pages they look at and other information such as referring sites and browsers.
