Felicity Griffin Clark is an Australian mixed media and textile artist, writer, curator and co-director of Counterweave Arts in Rome.
Felicity’s art practice is built on experimenting and extending a range of techniques. She uses silk, wool, alpaca and linen, mulberry bark, synthetics, paper, metals and found objects to convey colours, textures and meanings in unconventional ways. She is especially interested in conveying emotions such as grief, trauma and stigma: jealousy, post-traumatic stress and the scarification of physical suffering often feature in her work.
Felicity has exhibited in Australia and overseas and won the inaugural Buda Textile Award in 2008. Her three dimensional work siliqua lucti appeared in Seth Apter’s 2013 book The Mixed Media Artist: Art Tips, Tricks, Secrets and Dreams from Over 40 Amazing Artists.
Felicity teaches workshops in a range of textile and mixed media techniques. She also enjoys working with other artists in individualised one-on-one masterclasses in her studio. Find out more and arrange a session with Felicity here.
