Louise Brandwood Price, No 73 and Bleu 70

The pieces were completed during the Corona Virus Lockdown around the end of May, beginning of June 2020.  I am always foraging for items to add to my work.  I collected all the Corona Bottle tops whilst walking on my hours distancing during lockdown.

It was refreshing to work freely & loosely in vivid color which I love, adding texture inspired by my favourite contemporary artists.

The Lancashire Forager

At its heart ‘The Lancashire Forager’ is Louise Brandwood Price

After Studying Surface Pattern Design in Yorkshire, Louise returned to Leigh, pursuing her passions for the arts back in her home county Lancashire.

Louise has combined her work as an artist with working full-time in Arts education & support for almost 25 years.

Louise works primarily to commission; producing mixed media one off pieces she combines her eclectic mix of up-cycling, embroidery, collage and paintwork techniques, with flora & fauna in a nostalgic way with a witty twist.

Louise spent several years working within the Manchester Craft & Design Centre, exhibited at The Country living Design Show Islington, Northern Quarter, Manchester, The Turnpike Gallery and French Connection

As an artist working from home for 30 years, she now works from her studio at Creative Spin Studios Leigh Spinners Mill, where you can arrange a visit by appointment, giving you a glimpse of what the Lancashire Forager is all about.
